How We Make Predictions
Our prediction engine combines professional-grade football data with a multi-stage AI analysis pipeline. Here's exactly how each match prediction is built — from raw fixture data to published article.
1 Data Collection
We connect to professional football data providers used by sportsbooks and broadcasters. For every upcoming fixture, we collect:
- Fixture metadata: teams, kickoff time, league, season
- Recent team form: last 5 match results (W/D/L) for both sides
- Match result probabilities from professional predictive models
- Both-teams-to-score (BTTS) probabilities
- Over/Under goals probabilities (1.5, 2.5, 3.5 lines)
- Value-bet signals and market edge data where available
- Expected goals (xG) data for advanced leagues
- Head-to-head historical record
2 Probability Modelling
The raw probabilities we display (e.g. "Home Win: 54%") come from professional statistical models built on millions of historical matches. These are professional-grade predictions from specialist data providers used across the sports betting industry.
To identify the Best Pick, our system evaluates all available probability markets simultaneously — match result, BTTS Yes/No, Over/Under 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5 goals — and surfaces the single market with the highest statistical confidence.
3 AI Article Generation
Once the data is assembled, GPT-4o-mini generates a match preview article. The AI is given structured prompts containing team names, form, league context, probabilities, and statistical trends. It produces:
- A unique match analysis paragraph (2–4 sentences)
- A predicted scoreline based on form and goal averages
- 3 rated betting tips across different markets
- Key factors influencing the prediction
- A risk level assessment (Low / Medium / High)
Every article is generated fresh — no templates, no recycled content.
4 Publication Timing
Predictions are published automatically up to 48 hours before kickoff. Our scheduler runs every 15 minutes and checks for upcoming fixtures in our covered leagues. Once a fixture is detected within the publication window, the prediction article is generated and published immediately — ensuring you always have analysis well ahead of kickoff.
5 Confidence & Risk Levels
High
65%+ probability. Statistically strong signal across the data.
Medium
50–64% probability. Reasonable confidence but some uncertainty.
Low
Under 50% probability. Competitive match — use smaller stakes.
